Check Out Our New Wedding Label Designs!

January 27, 2009 by Erika Leave a Comment

Our graphic designers are amazing.  Every day they’re researching the latest wedding trends so that we can offer you wedding label designs that reflect the peak of wedding chic and style.  The newest designs to grace our wedding section are breathtaking, sophisticated, and are guaranteed to add class and glamour to your celebration.

[singlepic id=27 w=240 h=160 float=center]Our “Script Monogram” personalized wine label is a study in dramatic contrasts.  The perfect way to show off you and your beloved’s new shared last name, this label will look particularly nice at a black tie, formal reception.  The colors on this design can be changed to suit your color scheme.

[singlepic id=22 w=240 h=160 float=center]The new “Preppy Polka Dots” label is guaranteed to make every last girl at your wedding swoon with envy.  Soft white polka dots in a sea of soft green are the perfect compliment to the soft pink that lies at the heart of this label.  This label design is ideal for a spring or summer fete, and will add brightness and warmth to your reception tables.

[singlepic id=23 w=240 h=160 float=center]Dramatic and replete with old Hollywood glamour, our “Magnolia” label mixes the luxurious tones of cocoa and cream and the result is exquisite.  Southern belles will appreciate the gorgeous magnolia flower that graces the corner of the label, and anyone channeling a vintage feel for their wedding will note the deep tones and understated elegance.   This design is ideal for anyone planning a vintage or southern wedding.   The colors on this design can be changed to suit your color scheme.

[singlepic id=16 w=240 h=160 float=center]The bride who’s drawn to dramatic color combinations and vibrant class will enjoy our “Dreamy Damask” wedding water label design.   A rich damask pattern carpets the background of this label, which makes the rich red of the names in the center stand out.  This design was created with a variety of wedding styles in mind.  A versatile design, it’s perfect for an afternoon brunch reception or an evening black tie soiree.  The colors on this design can be changed to suit your color scheme.

[singlepic id=17 w=240 h=160 float=center]The clean lines and tasteful monogram on our “Classic Monogram” label design are perfect for the classy bride who wants to show off her new monogram.  This label is highly versatile and would look perfect at any reception.  The colors on this design can be changed to suit your color scheme.

Our graphic designers are passionate about staying on top of wedding trends and we’re continually debuting new designs.   If you have a specific design in mind that we haven’t done yet, send us your ideas and we’d be happy to add your design to our collection!

We’re also happy to work with you to design a completely custom label.  If you have a custom-designed monogram, or have a design theme you’re working with, our graphic designers will work with you to ensure your labels match the rest of your details perfectly.

Survive the Recession with Our Custom Labels

January 20, 2009 by Erika Leave a Comment

[singlepic id=30 w=240 h=160 float=center]The inauguration this morning was nothing if not a very good reason to harbor some hope for the future.  The stock market continues to tumble and jobs everywhere are disappearing, but at least now we have the faintest hope that some new leadership might get us back on track.

Even if things don’t start getting better immediately, there are definitely some great ways to cope with the way things have been shaking out lately.  Our graphic designers, inspired by the new line of wine from Recession Wines, have come up with two new label designs that are designed specifically to help you get through this recession/depression/whatever using the best coping mechanism of all: humor!

Our “Recession Red” wine label features a plummeting stock market indicator and an recommendation that more wine leads to less whining.  The wording is, of course, fully customizable, so you can change it to reflect whatever mood you’re in at the moment.  Our new “Recession Ale” label is characterized by a playfully escaping dollar sign and the practical advice that beer can really be a cold comfort during hard times.

These labels are the perfect way to comfort someone who’s just lost their job, watched their stock portfolio evaporate overnight, or is generally just wishing that times were not so tough.  At less than $1 apiece, they have the added benefit of being a cheap way to commiserate!  Whoever you’re sharing your beer or wine with will definitely appreciate the humor and sentiment on these labels.

We genuinely wish President Barack Obama the very best of luck as he starts his term of office.  We know that things may not be fixed overnight, but we have hope for a better future.  Until then, though, we’ll continue to enjoy our wine and beer with a little tongue in cheek humor.

Award-Winning Custom Beer Labels

January 16, 2009 by Erika Leave a Comment

[singlepic id=14 w=240 h=160 float=center]Working here at Bottle Your Brand is an incredibly fun experience.  Every single day, we get to see custom labels that spark peals of laughter, bring tears to our eyes, or wow us with their beauty.  There are a lot of talented people out there, and we love helping them design, create, and produce custom labels.

One such talented person is Dan Berexa.  We printed up his label last fall and were so excited to find out that the custom label he designed went on to win a prize!

Every year Brew Your Own, the how-to homebrew beer magazine, hosts a custom label contest.  They receive hundreds of entries from some of the most talented homebrewers across the nation.  If you ever find yourself in need of inspiration, spend some time browsing their award winner archives and you’ll find plenty!

Dan entered his label in the 2008 contest and his design won an Editor’s Choice award.  His label, for his Peace in the Neighborhood Nut Brown Ale, was designed by btwodesign and looks stunning and sophisticated.

Dan says the story behind this batch of ale is that he and his great group of friends enjoy hanging out and enjoying his brews and that the inspiration for this label came from one of these gatherings.  We’re so glad we could print these labels for Dan and wish him all the best with his future brew!

If you’re a homebrewer or a vintner who would like a professional-quality label without having to shell out major league cash, we’re happy to work with you to print and design your labels.  Our labels are completely self-adhesive, waterproof, and picture-perfect, and they’re the perfect way to commemorate a good batch.

Must-Have Superbowl Party Supplies

January 13, 2009 by Erika 5 Comments

[singlepic id=29 w=240 h=160 float=center]Is there anything better than spending Superbowl Sunday with good friends, great food, and cold beer?  We don’t think so.  The Superbowl is just one of those American institutions that feels good no matter what the economy is doing.  Superbowl 43 is coming up on February 1, 2009, and the timing is perfect to start getting ready to host or make plans to attend a Superbowl party.

If you’re hosting a Superbowl party this year, here are the top five ways to guarantee Superbowl party success:

  1. Custom beer labels. We’ve just designed two football labels specifically for the Superbowl that will look great on any bottle of beer you have at your Superbowl party.  At less than $1 apiece, and with our new promo code to take 10% off your label order, this is an economical way to add a custom touch to your Superbowl party.   Our “Game Day” label design features the bright lights of the football stadium prominently, and our “Super Brew” design gives you the chance to show your love for beer on the 50 yard line.  Coincidentally, this is a great way to show support for your team, and force supporters of the opposing team to support your team as well just by holding the bottle!
  2. Beer. Lots of it.  For most Americans, a good football game goes hand in hand with a cold beer, so make sure you stock up on plenty of suds before kick-off.  A great way to store these is in buckets of ice.  This frees up your refrigerator and allows guests to easily help themselves.  You can also throw some other bottles drinks in there as well to keep non-beer drinking guests hydrated.  Fruit juices and bottled water will go nicely in buckets of ice as well.   In fact, if you want to customize your bottled water, we also have a football label for bottled water that you can use to spruce up your water bottles too.  Don’t let the beer drinkers have all the fun!
  3. Snacks. Having an entree is a great idea for after the game, but every Superbowl party needs to have lots of snacks on hand throughout the game in order to keep guests happy.  Going with a variety of snacks will enable you to satisfy a broad variety of tastes, so offer potato chips and dip next to a veggie tray, and throw in some M&M’s for good measure.
  4. Seating. It doesn’t matter if your guests are all male, all female, or a combination of both: comfortable seating is mandatory for every Superbowl party.  Sitting on the floor gets old real quick.  It may not look the best, but if you drag an extra couch into the room, or squeeze a few more armchairs in front of your TV, your guests will thank you for it.
  5. Decorations. Buy or borrow some props for each team playing the Superbowl and scatter them around the room.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a foam finger or a custom jersey, decorations are a surefire way to get everyone in the mood to marvel at great passes, bemoan bad calls, and cheer wildly for touchdowns.

Our Top Five Money-Saving Tips For Weddings

January 7, 2009 by Erika Leave a Comment

[singlepic id=21 w=240 h=160 float=center]With weddings, it’s all fun and games until someone mentions the word “budget.”  Even with financial contributions from friends and family, paying for a wedding is a daunting task!  In addition to the weddings rings, there are dresses, flowers, venues, food, and favors to think of.  The wedding industry is huge, and designed to make you spend money on your wedding, and the biggest hurdle many brides and grooms will face is how to plan a meaningful event that will not land them in debt for the first few years of their marriage.

Now that the New Year is upon us, and with it the spring and summer wedding seasons, brides everywhere are trying to figure out how to stay afloat financially without sacrificing their style or vision.

Here are the top five tips for getting the most bang for your buck when planning a wedding:

  1. Get your friends and family involved in the planning process. Chances are excellent that if you need something for your wedding, someone you know can either do it or knows someone who can do it.  This is a great opportunity to help your friends and family feel involved by having them print the invitations or programs, help you make decorations, or bake and cook food for the reception.  Many brides say their favorite memory is of working with loved ones to create things for the wedding!
  2. Go local and seasonal for your flowers and food. Local flowers grown in-season are much less expensive and have the added benefit of being eco-friendly.  Same thing with locally grown fruit and vegetables.   If you’re choosing a caterer, make sure the caterer will design the menu around the foods that are available at that time of year.  Imported flowers, fruits, and vegetables are much more expensive.
  3. Hit two birds with one stone. If something in your wedding can serve two purposes for the cost of one, take advantage!  Personalized water bottles are one of our favorite ways to save money at weddings.  Customized water bottles serve two purposes (refreshment and wedding favors) for the cost of one!  Our “Spring Lily” design, shown above, is brand new and perfect for a spring wedding favor or summer wedding favor.  Another great idea is to choose a single venue for your ceremony and reception.  This will cut down on decoration, transportation, and rental fees.  Even though it seems more expensive up-front, it’s often more cost-effective to use a hotel ballroom because they supply many of the things you would have to rent anyway (like chairs, tables, table cloths) and often have decorations you can use for free.
  4. Schedule your wedding and reception to occur between meal times. This way, your guests won’t come expecting to be fed a huge meal.  Many weddings are scheduled to wrap up around 5 or 6 at night, leaving guests plenty of time to go seek nourishment elsewhere.
  5. Appoint a trusted, and obsessively organized, friend or family member to serve as your wedding coordinator. Provide him or her with vendor phone numbers, wedding ceremony details, family flight and accommodation information, and other useful details and let him or her make all the day-of details smooth for you.  This will save you the cost of hiring a wedding coordinator without forcing you to the sacrifice the benefits.

Regardless of whether you serve hamburgers or steak at your reception, the most important thing to remember is that at the end of the day, you will be married to the person you love.  Everything else is gravy.
