Sports drinks are insanely popular and many peoples' drink of choice regardless of the season. As a result we get this question all the time “Do your labels fit on a Gatorade bottle or a Powerade bottle?” or “What about Vitamin water? How do your labels fit on Vitamin water bottles?” The short answer is yes, but read on to find out the specifics. Here are the bottles we tested with our custom labels from left to right:
- 20 oz. Vitamin water bottle.
- 32 oz. Gatorade Bottle.
- 20 oz. Gatorade bottle.
- 32 oz. Powerade Bottle.
These are some of the most popular sports drinks that you'll find in almost any grocery or convenience store. There are other bottle sizes available in all brands, especially Gatorade. They have a lot of new bottle sizes and even some drink pouches, but these four are the big ones. The 20 oz. Vitamin water and Gatorade bottles are perfect for outdoors parties, kids birthdays and the 32 oz. are perfect for sports teams and recreation league activities. In fact the 20 oz. Gatorade bottle is the number one sports bottle we get questions about, because everyone wants to brand them with their custom labels.
Now before we get into what label sizes fit what bottles, here is a word of caution about labeling sports drink bottles. All brands of sports drinks manufacturers have their own proprietary label designs and their bottles are all oddly shaped! None are really smooth or have a nice flat surface to stick a label on, and in addition, because sports drinks are mass produced and shipped all over the country from who knows where, many of the bottles are dented and creased. The odd shape of the bottles and the dents from shipping make it tough to label these bottles, but it can be done. So let’s take a look at what we came up with.
See what we're saying about the bottles not having smooth surfaces to stick labels too? That’s why most, if not all sports drink manufacturers don’t brand their bottles with conventional labels. They use wraps that are made of synthetic material that is much thinner and stretches a bit to fit the bottles better than say, our synthetic labels which are thicker.
Custom Label Sizes For Sports Drinks
Looking at the picture above again and starting left moving right we applied a 5"x 5" custom label on the 20 oz. Vitamin Water bottle. The 32 oz Gatorade bottle has a 3.5" w x 4" h label (what we call a wine label size) and the 20 oz. Gatorade bottle has a custom water bottle label on it, size 8" x 2.125". Finally, on the right side the 32oz. Powerade bottle has another size label we use for water bottles, size 8.25" x 1.75”
