Artwork Tips and Guidelines

Whether you are starting from scratch or modifying one of the existing designs we have here on the website you can do it all with our design tool.

To get them best results there are a few simple things you can do to get the best looking design possible. Please keep these in mind when you are designing your label or sticker.

1. Use the full width feature.

Look at the bottom of the design tool and you will see a five different buttons. The second one in from the left says "full width", click it to expand the design canvas to the maximum size your screen will allow. This will make everything much easier to see and much easier to move text and images around on your design.

2. Keep items within the cut lines.

See the red dotted line around the border? That's the cut line. If you place any text, images, logos ect. outside of that it will be trimmed off when the labels are finished. In fact it's best to keep text, logos and images slightly inside the cut lines.

3. Do Not put dark text on a dark background.

Do you like the color purple? If you do that's great but don't put purple text over a black background. Try to pick colors that compliment and contrast with each other. If it's hard to read on the screen then it won't be any better when it's printed out.

4. Upload these file types.

You can upload .jpg .png .tiff. or .svg files. The designer tool supports transparent .png files if you want to get fancy. If you need help converting a file email it to us at [email protected] and were happy to do so.

5. Upload photos and images that are high resolution.

If your uploaded photo, logo or image looks blurry on screen it will print blurry. 300dpi is the minimum resolution we require for a sharp clean print but even if your image is 300 dots per inch and you stretch it out to where it looks blurry it will print blurry. Remember that when you design something what you see on screen is what you get.
