What File Types Can I Upload?
Our design canvas can accept images in RGB color profile and in the following file formats:
- JPG
- PNG
We cannot accept files created in WORD, PowerPoint, or Publisher. These programs create files that are only 72 pixels per inch resolution. This will result in blurry, grainy, or fuzzy labels. Industry standard for printing is 300 pixels per inch.
My clip art looks blurry. What is wrong?
Your artwork must be at least 300 dpi resolution. When submitting clip art please use the original file, not a file you acquired via Ctrl + C. Any images from copy and paste are likely to print blurry. Internet pages are created at 72 dpi (dots per inch) resolution. While this looks great on your screen, it will not print sharp. Printing requirements call for a higher resolution file.
The spinning-wait icon just keeps spinning and nothing is happening.
This indicates that you have attempted to upload the wrong file type or a file that is too large for the design online canvas. Please check to see what file type you are uploading. Also check to make sure your file is not larger than 5MB. Files larger than 5MB will not upload.
Help! I can't see the image I just uploaded!
If you upload an image and you cannot see it on the label canvas or the label looks black, then you have uploaded a file that is the wrong color profile or the wrong file extension. Images in the color profile INDEX or CMYK will not upload properly to the design area.
I want to upload a custom design I made in a graphics program. How do I do this?
If you have created a high resolution image in a graphics program such as Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign please convert the image to RGB color and JPG or PNG file format before uploading.
If you would like us to print using your EPS or PSD file you may email it to artwork@bottleyourbrand.com after placing the order. (We will use a JPG image as reference for part of your order identification).
My photo looks good on my computer but it looks pixilated when I upload it. What happened?
Remember the following: Do not use thumbnails. Thumbnails will create a fuzzy image. Submit an original photo that has been resized to fit the area of the label, but is high resolution. Most photos taken with a digital camera will work when resized.
My photo is HUGE in the design canvas. Help!
Most photographs from a digital camera are fairly large in their original format when saved directly from your camera; usually around 8 x 12 inches. Make sure your photos are re-sized or cropped so they are no larger than approximately 3 x 4 inches before you attempt to upload them.
