How to Change Text

You've found a design you love, and now you're ready to change the text on that design.  Seeing as how being able to change the text to say whatever you want is the whole point of personalized labels, this is kind of an important topic to cover!

Let's start by taking a look at this design:

This design, called "No Excuse", is a custom beer label design.  It has four lines of white text on a black background and is ideal for showing you how to change text!

Let's start with the four lines of text themselves.  If you like the way the text is laid out, and you just want to change what it says, click on each individual line on the left.  It will expand that line to give you different options, one of which is a blue link that says, "Edit text".  Click on this link to change what the text says.

If you want to start the design completely over, click on the red X's to the right of each individual line of text to delete each line.

Now, many people start off clicking the "Add Text" button you see there on the left, typing out all the text all at once, and then just hitting "Enter" between each line to move it down a line.

If you do that, you'll end up with a label that looks a lot like this:

As you can see, you end up with all your text the same size, the same font, and the same size.  You can use the Alignment buttons (just like the ones on Microsoft Word!) to align the text to the left, center, right, or justified, and you can change the font and size and color, but all the text will look the same.  Who knows, this could be exactly what you want your label to look like!  If that's so, you're all done!

If this isn't quite what you had in mind, we suggest adding your text a different way.

Using the "Add Text" button, which can find here:

Add the text one line at a time.  Meaning, click "Add Text", type in the text for one line only, and then click "Add Text".  That will add your line of text to your design.

Please note, the default color for text is black so if you're working on a black background, make sure you change the text color after you add the text or you won't be able to see it!

Now that you've added a line of text, you can change its position on the label, it's size, it's font, and it's color.

To add an additional line of text, simply click the "Add Text" button on the left again!  You can change the size, font, position, and color of each individual line of text that you create, so that if you want your label can end up looking like this!
