There is not an established shelf life for bottled water from the FDA. Most bottlers will stamp a date on their PET bottles with a recommended "best if used by" date. The IBWA (International Bottled Water Association) suggests that bottled water be stored at room temperature or cooler, out of direct sunlight and a safe distance from any chemicals or solvents. If stored properly, bottled water can be safe for consumption for a number of years.
