True Costs of Weddings Revealed

Bride Pop recently published their analysis of the true cost of the average wedding, and the breakdown is extremely illuminating.  Click on the image at the top of this post to enlarge it, or visit the chart over at Bride Pop’s website.

As you can see, the average cost of a wedding ends up with a total akin to something you’d expect to pay for a college degree.  With all the financial frugality we’ve all had to adopt recently, this number can seem daunting and make it feel like you’ll never be able to afford the wedding of your dreams.

Fear not!  This is only a breakdown of the average cost, which means there’s lots of opportunity to cut costs down here and there.  Notice the bottom right part of the pie chart, where it breaks down the cost for favors and gifts.  This is a great place to save some money.

You could use custom water bottle labels to jazz up bottles of water, and then tie ribbons around the necks of the bottles with little tags thanking your guests for coming to your wedding.  Place these on tables near the exits and encourage guests to take them to make the ride home pleasant.  This is an inexpensive and stylish way to cut costs on your favors, and you know your guests will put them to good use!

If you look at the costs for the reception, you’ll notice that you can probably cut down the cost for beverages and bartender by putting open bottles of wine on the reception tables.  Top the bottles off with custom wine labels and you’ve got pretty table decor and beverages all rolled up in one pretty custom package!

Stylish Baby Shower Decor

We always get so excited when someone at our company gets married, has a baby, or celebrates a birthday because it means we get to see our products used firsthand!  One of the lovely ladies in our office recently had a baby, and as you can see in the photo above she put our mini water bottles to good use at her shower!

It was a lot of fun to watch the women at the baby shower milling around, chatting and playing games with these bottles sitting convenient right next to them.  The small size was great, because it gave the women at the shower the ability to juggle plates of food, purses, and their drinks without spilling anything.

There was also a beautiful little girl at the shower, and she felt very special indeed to have her very own bottle that was just the right size for her wee little hands.  The 8 oz bottle size is just the right size for grown-ups and little kids alike!

Custom label bottled water is stylish, a natural addition to baby showers.  You can match the colors of your label to the décor of your shower, so that while your guests walk around it’s like the decorations get to mingle right along with them!

Pink and Green 1st Birthday Party

Jessica of Party Box Design fame recently threw a gorgeous blowout bash to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday and guess who got to help her with the fabulous décor?

We did!

Jessica picked pink and green as the colors for this fête, and our Preppy Polka Dots water label was a perfect fit!  The colors and design were a lovely addition to the other decorative touches Jessica included at this party.  For example…

Placing some lime slices in this vase of flowers added an unexpected touch of green that complimented the pink polka dot ribbon perfectly.  As you can see, once you have a color theme for a party, it can be a lot of fun to incorporate that theme throughout the event!

The thing we like about Jessica’s use of Preppy Polka Dots is that this water bottle label design is not, strictly speaking, a birthday label.  You can actually find this label in our weddings category!  We love it when customers take designs and use them creatively, thinking outside the box to find the best designs for their events.

Thanks so much to Jessica for letting us be part of this wonderful celebration!

Our Mini Wine Bottle Labels in Action!

We are so tickled to show these off to you!  Two of our very creative customers used our small water bottle labels on mini bottles of sparkling cider at their Ladies Christmas Dinner last night and, as you can see, the results were spectacular!

They chose our “Snowflake Ornaments” design and bought the labels in our small size.  Then, they bought mini bottles of Martinelli’s sparkling apple cider (you can find this at grocery stores) and applied the water labels right over the original labels.  The personalized labels fit nicely over the Martinelli’s label and it’s really easy to do!

They glammed up the bottles even more by using silver twine to tie tiny ornaments to the necks of the bottles.  The end result was custom and so eye-catching that countless women came over to admire their creativity!

Breast Cancer Fundraising Idea

As I’m sure many of you know, October is breast cancer awareness month!  If you’re interested in helping fund research to find a cure for breast cancer, one of the best ways to do this is to participate in one of many breast cancer walks that take place across the country.

Once you’ve signed up, it’s up to you to come up with ways to help your team raise as much money as you can.  Our favorite way to do this is to hand out or sell personalized bottled water.

Bottled water is the ideal handout at a fundraising event, especially if there’s walking involved.  It’s portable, useful, healthy, and easy to customize.  You can add the name of your team, the date(s) of the event, and a pink ribbon logo to make it coordinate with the event.

Some teams get really creative with their labels!  We printed these labels for a team of women participating in a 3-day walk for breast cancer.  From their sassy team name, “Babes for Boobs”, to the adorable logo they created for their team, these ladies went all out!

We also love it when companies get involved.  Nordstrom helped spread breast cancer awareness by handing out bottles with these labels during the month of October.

If you’re interested in spreading breast cancer awareness or raising money for the cause through the sale of personalized bottled water, check out our pre-designed breast cancer awareness label or please get in touch.  We’d love to be involved with making your event a success!
