We hear from our friends in the wedding industry that they are already booking consultation appointments like crazy, which means the 2012 wedding season is already off to a brilliant start. If you got engaged over the holidays, now is the time to start thinking about what you might want your wedding to be like – unless you are one of the people that has been planning your wedding since you were a kid, and already have the details all worked out. One of the first things on a wedding check-list is to pick a date. Once that’s done, its time to send out the save-the-dates – these are the beginnings of the wedding planning process and just getting the wheels started turning.

We love designing wedding labels and invitations – simply because there are so many ideas and options. The color schemes and themes and fonts to choose from, and design with, are nearly endless. This new custom wedding label and invitation set created for us by Christina from Brass Bell Design, is so ladylike and romantic, we are just in love with it! A lace theme is an easy way to give your wedding a romantic, antique, vintage theme and the accompanying decor details are so sweet. When we ran across this recipe for Peppermint Hot Fudge Sauce on Kitchn this week, we got the urge to whip up a batch of our own, create an adorable label and hand them out as party favors and presents to our family and friends this season. Check out the recipe! Sounds delicious…

Rhoda’s Peppermint Hot Fudge Sauce
Yields 4 cups

2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 t. Kosher salt
2 c. heavy cream
1 c. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 t. peppermint extract (substitute vanilla, if you don’t want the mint flavor)

Directions: In a double boiler over medium heat stir in cocoa, sugars and salt. Add the cream and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the butter is melted and the sauce comes together and is smooth and glossy. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Then, remove the bowl from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Stir in the peppermint extract. Store in the fridge and re-heat when ready to use.

Storage notes: This sauce is great to packages in glass jars for gifts. When pouring the sauce from the bowl into the jar it is helpful to use a kitchen funnel if you have one available. This sauce will stay in the fridge for up to two weeks or more.

Serving ideas: In addition to ice-cream, this sauce is excellent drizzled over slices of pound cake, cheesecake or a meringue. The version made with vanilla extract is also delicious served with poached fruit.

Ok, so we know that Halloween only happened yesterday, but its already time to start thinking about the next big holidays and planning ahead. We’ve been seeing holiday parties and ideas all over the place already, so we’re jumping on the bandwagon and saying, better start preparing and ordering your custom wine labels for the holiday season, today! It’s a busy season, so planning ahead is always a good idea.

Our friends over at Party Box Design always throw the best parties – filled with fun, creative details, beautiful decorations and to our delight, exquisitely designed custom labels! A few weeks ago, Jessica from Party Box Design put together a spooktacular Halloween party with sweet treats, kids in costumes, face painting and even a fantastic bar for the adults. Linda from Frog Prince Cake and Cookie Design recently put together a tropical themed luau for her niece’s 1st birthday, and we contributed the labels for water bottles – take a look at how it all came together – its pretty cute!

Kids wore bathing suits and played on a water slide, and there were hula hoop contests to keep everyone entertained. As for the sweet dessert table, there were creatively decorated sugar cookies, pina colada cupcakes served under a mini tiki bar, brownies, themed candy (check out the Gummi pigs – hysterical!) and a gorgeous cake that was made by Linda herself.

Thanks for letting us be a part of such a special day, Linda! We love the way it all turned out.

When we saw this customer’s label, it was like a little light-bulb went on over our heads. How did it never occur to us that an umbrella themed baby shower was an adorable idea? We think taking the idea of a “shower” literally is a creative and fun party theme idea – and not one that you see too often. Make tissue paper clouds, rain drop garlands, decorate with cute umbrellas, and shower your loved one!

What is your favorite part of this theme idea?

We are crazy about our new Milk and Cookies party theme set. It’s whimsical, fun, a little bit retro (because, let’s face it, the idea of milk and cookies as a snack is a little bit retro) and just the right amount of playful. All in all, the perfect set for a kids birthday party!

We’ve found a TON of inspiration for a sweet party like this. Let’s start with the milk. There are so many cute ways to display it and package it for your party.

We love the idea of the large glass juice containers filled with chocolate or regular milk – this would  also be a great idea for a wedding reception. Using old Starbucks Frappucino bottles, you can give them custom labels and they look like perfect little mini-milk bottles. So many options!

Next up, the most important part, if you happen to ask us – the cookies. Don’t think you have to stick with the standard chocolate chip variety – although, it is delicious. There are plenty of yummy choices – in fact, having an entire “cookie bar” with different types to choose from, is a great idea.

Making VIP Access name tags for each kid is a brilliant idea – fun for them and perhaps it will even help you to keep track of them. One of the best ‘Rock Star’ party examples that we’ve seen is this one below, from Hostess with the Mostess – creative and perfectly executed down to the last detail – its a wonderful source of inspiration if you’re thinking about hosting a ‘Rock Star’ party soon! We just added this new custom invitation design to our site last week, and its already one of our all time favorites – its a complete set, so there are coordinating water bottle labels and custom sized favor labels as well. We recently created a new invitation and custom label set that would be perfect for any kid’s summer birthday party – boy or girl – The Ice Cream Social. An ice cream themed birthday party allows you to do cute decorations and the kids will love it – they can get involved scooping ice cream, tasting different flavors and even choosing toppings. Just beware of the sugar rush once its all over!

The label we made is completely customizable, so you can change the stripe colors in the background to fit whatever combination and color scheme your heart desires. The smaller custom label can be used for goody bags or party favors like those above. Fill a to-go ice cream cup with little trinkets and candy, and put the custom label on the side. Doesn’t get much cuter than that!

The Love Bird theme is huge in wedding trends right now, and there are plenty of fun ways to incorporate it into your event decor and design. We recently provided labels for a Preppy Pink Crab Party hosted by Jess over at Party Box Design for her daughter, Charli. Charli loves crabs, and Jess loves a well put-together party, and we have to say, the results were fabulous. Using shades of pink, powder blue and navy with polka dots thrown in to add to the “preppy” vibe, Jess threw a summer crab fest that was fun for both the kids and adults.

There were steamed crabs, Crabby Ale (with labels from yours truly), and kids took home crabby cupcake push pops and cookies. Adults were given a jar of crabby spice – all done up with custom labels. Jess says it was her “favorite party yet” thanks to amazing vendors and a fantastic photographer, Cellar Door Photography.

There’s the birthday girl in her pretty pink tutu! How beautiful does the bar look – we love that its housed in an old-fashioned white hutch!

We are dying over how adorable those cupcakes from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes are. Almost too cute to eat…almost.

We love the simplicity of this water bottle label that recently came through our offices. The colors are so complimentary and we are big fans of the text done all in lower case. Its such a simple label for bottled water for a wedding, but it completely captured our attention – and naturally, it got our minds going – thinking about what the wedding could look like – especially with such a rich color scheme. The gray is a perfect balance for the two shades of pink in the label – keeps your wedding from looking too girly.

Whether you make your own wine at home, or have a small winery, these labels are a great example of creating a look and brand that all flows together.

This is one of our favorite (and most popular) baby shower labels on the site, for its simplicity and clever “Wine before Whining” tag line. Often, people debate about whether or not to serve wine at a baby shower – given that the mother you’re honoring can’t partake in the drinking of it, but its becoming more and more common, and we are totally on board with that. Besides, how can you resist serving a wine with cute personalized labels like these? We were so enamored with these labels that we had to share them with you. And then, just today we came across this awesome set of four kitchen towels – made just for the beer lover in your life – by Etsy seller NestaHome. Hand-stamped with antique printing blocks, these towels just seemed like they fit well with the Rowhouse labels.

If we had a little brewery, we would be all about these towels – heck, even without a little brewery, we’re all about them!

This would make a fun beer label for a home-brew made especially for St’ Patrick’s – Irish Born and Bred!

Here, we picked one of our popular wedding labels, “Ribbons and Dots”, and matched it with some pink party accessories from Sweet Lulu. With one of our labels, and some treats from Sweet Lulu, this would be one perfectly coordinated and visually stunning party!

The purple bakers twine and purple polka dot straws would look great at a party with our “Camelot Dots” label. Fill those cake platters with some pretty purple-frosted cupcakes and you’d have everything you need to host a party people will definitely be ‘ooh’ing and ‘ahh’ing over.

Happy Superbowl weekend! People everywhere are gearing up for Sunday’s big showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we’ve been seeing labels for both teams rolling through our offices this past week. A new year means new trends in just about everything – including label design. Predicted to be big in labels this year? Retro and vintage designs for your wine, beer and water bottle labels. We’ve seen a lot of great ideas out there recently, take a look and start getting inspired about how you want your next label to look!

Retro fruit labels, with their bright colors and clear, bold designs make great labels for beer bottles.

Put a more delicate, antique-inspired label like one of these art nouveau styled ideas, on a wine bottle label, or favor boxes and bags at a bridal or baby shower. And, if you’re planning a retro or vintage-inspired wedding celebration, these label ideas are sure to complete the look of your wedding to perfection.

Finally, we stumbled across this utterly adorable idea over on one of our favorite blogs for ideas and inspiration, Eat Drink Chic. Perfect for a bridal or baby shower, or even a child’s birthday party, these brightly colored soda bottles and retro-styled labels are a throwback to the days of soda fountains, root beer floats, jukeboxes and milkshakes. We have been working like crazy little elves in Santa’s workshop over the past few weeks here at Bottle Your Brand. Finally, we’ve finished all of your custom labels for the holiday season, and we are taking the next few days off to rest and reboot. Each season, Pantone brings the world the latest and most important color trends – used in design, fashion and more. This year’s color palette is inspired by exotic destinations like Africa, India, Peru and Turkey, using both warm and cool tones to balance one another in complimentary hues.

Coral Rose is a sophisticated orange with a bright, spicy feel to it, and Beeswax is a warm honeyed yellow – both of which look great paired with Regatta.

The romantic, fanciful color of Lavender goes great with Beeswax and Coral Rose, making a unique color pairing that is perfectly balanced. The alluring color of Blue Curacao is a goregous tropical hue that complements both Honeysuckle and Coral Rose. Peapod is our personal favorite for its fresh yellow-green color and the organic element it brings to the table.

The “nude hues” – Silver Peony, Silver Cloud and Deep Russett, go with just about everything in the palette, grounding the bright colors and providing an ethereal feel.

Finally, let’s not forget Honeysuckle – the official color of Spring 2011. Bright and flirtatious, this feel-good hue is playful and perfect for post-winter designs!

You’ve found the perfect label.  Your heart speeds up a bit, your fingers fly over the keyboard, and before you know it you’ve designed a custom label that is everything you want it to be and more.  Woo hoo!  Just hit Checkout and go, right?

Hold on there a minute.  Did you remember to proofread your label?

Much like Santa Claus with his list, it’s important to check your label over at least twice to make sure that names are spelled correctly, the dates are right, etc.  Why?  Because we won’t!

As much as we’d love to be psychic, we have no way of knowing whether the names, places, dates, or other information we see on your label are correct.  If you type it in wrong, we will print it wrong!  We’d hate for that to happen, so make sure you double-check your work before checking out.

If you ever have questions about etiquette (whose initial comes first in a monogram anyway?!) or aesthetics (what looks better, writing out the date or using numbers?) contact us.  We’re happy to work with you to make sure your label looks perfect!  Just remember, we won’t proofread it for you once you’ve submitted your order.  Make sure it’s right before you check out!

We’ve seen it all.  We’ve printed beer labels with naked women, water labels with naked men, and countless labels proudly featuring every swear word ever uttered.  As a result, we’re not squeamish about what we print and promise not to judge you for what you choose to have us print for you.

Due to the completely customizable nature of our products, it’s natural to be curious about what our stipulations are about what we will or won’t print.  As a rule, we don’t censor the content of the custom labels we print.  If you feel like covering your label in profanity?  We might not repeat the words you use, but we’ll certainly print those for you and won’t think differently of you for choosing to do so.

The only things we won’t print are the things that violate local, state, and federal laws.  We love our customers, but we’re not wild about the idea of going to jail for them.

All orders that we receive are subject to our discretion, but as long as it’s legal we’ll print it for you.  It’s not our job to judge you for what you choose to order.  What is our job is to print top quality labels that say what you want them to say.

We wholeheartedly support recycling programs and responsible environmental stewardship.  Our water bottles are 100% recyclable and manufactured using PET 1 plastic, the safest and most recyclable plastic.  The world’s not perfect, and recycling facilities are not yet as widespread as we’d like, but our nation is moving in the right direction and we’re happy to do everything we can to help spread the news about the importance of recycling.

Some of this buzz is justified. After all, an astonishing nine out of every ten water bottles ends up as litter or in landfills, where they can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. As appalling as this fact is, water bottles still accounted for less than 1/3 of 1% of all waste produced in 2005.

In fact, water bottles are 100% recyclable. The plastic in water bottles can be re-used to create other plastic products and can even be used to make polar fleece jackets! An estimated 1.5 million tons of plastic are used globally every year to create water bottles, but every ounce of this plastic is recyclable and re-usable.

The problem is not the water bottles, it’s the lack of readily available recyling containers in public places and in homes nation-wide. Only half the homes in America have access to curb-side recycling programs, and there’s a dismal lack of recycling centers publicly available.

Patricia Franklin, who works with a non-profit called the Container Recycling Institute, says that the “opportunites for recycling outside the home are minimal, and therein lies the problem.”

We here at Bottle Your Brand are doing everything we can to lessen the impact of our water bottles on the environment. Our bottles are made from PET 1 plastic, which is the safest and most easily recyclable, and we are always seeking out the newest developments in labeling technology that will have a diminished impact on the planet.

We d like to start by introducing ourselves. We are an e-commerce site dedicated to providing the highest quality personalized bottled water and labels.

Our company was founded in 2003 and the first version of our website was launched in February 2004. We started from very humble beginnings. In fact, for the first year of its existence, Bottle Your Brand was run out of a basement!

It was not the most glamorous start, but the potential in this market was great enough that the founders were willing to rough it for awhile to make it work. At the time, there were no other e-commerce sites offering personalized water bottle labeling services. There were companies who did personalized labels, but none had yet used the Internet to make the ordering process simple and quick.
