We can hardly believe we’re saying this, but its time to start getting ready for Valentine’s Day. We know, New Year’s Eve was just the other day, and how could it be time for Valentine’s already – right? Time flies, friends! Especially if you have a party to plan for that you might need labels for. Wink, wink.

In any case, we’ve started our Valentine’s Day prep, and our favorite find so far? These amazing little custom fruit labels from Twig and Thistle Shop on Etsy. They are just the right size – like real fruit labels – and are printable – great for your home parties. We love the saying’s on them too: “You’re the APPLE of my eye”, “ORANGE you glad you’re mine?”, “We make the perfect PEAR” and “I’m going BANANAS over you”. We know, the cuteness is almost too much.

Even if it’s not for Valentine’s Day, can you imagine the smile you would put on someone’s face if they opened their lunch bag to this? Completely brilliant.

It may be because today is particularly gray and dismal here in Seattle, but we are really feeling the bright, spring-y feeling of this new pink and green baby shower invitation. It’s sweet and lovely for a shower for a baby girl, and we love the baby buggy theme – you can do the cutest decorating with a baby buggy theme. It brightened our day – check out the inspiration below and brighten your day as well!

The holiday season is one of the MOST popular times of year to propose to your significant other, so we want to know, how many of you got engaged over the past few weeks??

We hear from our friends in the wedding industry that they are already booking consultation appointments like crazy, which means the 2012 wedding season is already off to a brilliant start. If you got engaged over the holidays, now is the time to start thinking about what you might want your wedding to be like – unless you are one of the people that has been planning your wedding since you were a kid, and already have the details all worked out. One of the first things on a wedding check-list is to pick a date. Once that’s done, its time to send out the save-the-dates – these are the beginnings of the wedding planning process and just getting the wheels started turning.

How adorable is our latest custom invitation design? We love the bright colors and vintage-feeling balloon theme – its perfect for any kid’s birthday party – boy or girl! We can’t think of a kid that doesn’t love balloons and the theme would make for such fun decor at a party. We love designing wedding labels and invitations – simply because there are so many ideas and options. The color schemes and themes and fonts to choose from, and design with, are nearly endless. This new custom wedding label and invitation set created for us by Christina from Brass Bell Design, is so ladylike and romantic, we are just in love with it! A lace theme is an easy way to give your wedding a romantic, antique, vintage theme and the accompanying decor details are so sweet. When we ran across this recipe for Peppermint Hot Fudge Sauce on Kitchn this week, we got the urge to whip up a batch of our own, create an adorable label and hand them out as party favors and presents to our family and friends this season. Check out the recipe! Sounds delicious…

Rhoda’s Peppermint Hot Fudge Sauce
Yields 4 cups

2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 t. Kosher salt
2 c. heavy cream
1 c. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
2 t. peppermint extract (substitute vanilla, if you don’t want the mint flavor)

Directions: In a double boiler over medium heat stir in cocoa, sugars and salt. Add the cream and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the butter is melted and the sauce comes together and is smooth and glossy. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Then, remove the bowl from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Stir in the peppermint extract. Store in the fridge and re-heat when ready to use.

Storage notes: This sauce is great to packages in glass jars for gifts. When pouring the sauce from the bowl into the jar it is helpful to use a kitchen funnel if you have one available. This sauce will stay in the fridge for up to two weeks or more.

Serving ideas: In addition to ice-cream, this sauce is excellent drizzled over slices of pound cake, cheesecake or a meringue. The version made with vanilla extract is also delicious served with poached fruit.

That’s what the buzz is all about!

Our first designer is one talented lady – she has been making awesome label and invitation sets for us for some time now, and we couldn’t be happier with her work. Christina Muscato of Brass Bell Design was actually the brains behind our logo re-design a few months ago, and her work is always fun, inspired and playful. Learn a little more about her…

BYB: We love the designs you come up with. Can you talk a little bit about your design process?

Why, thank you! My design process always starts with brainstorming.  I’ll take an idea and let it sit in my mind for a bit… Then I’ll sketch out a few different visuals, and scribble down some thoughts next to each. After that, I take it to the computer… I start drawing the graphics in the design program, play with a few different color palettes, choose my fonts, and create the overall layout.

BYB: How do you get inspired and stay motivated when it comes to new projects?

It’s easy to be inspired – I’m always inspired! I find inspiration in almost everything around me, and being in a pretty city like Charleston, SC, it’s even easier.  There are a lot of artists / art events here that keep me feeling creative, and there are beautiful buildings with uniquely designed interiors that always put me in a good design mood too.  Also, a lot of cool-looking event posters in doorways, and great music. All of the above, keep me motivated and hungry for more design.

BYB: Mac or PC?

Definitely a Mac! The design world revolves around Mac computers so they’ve always been the best in my mind.

BYB: Talk about two of your favorite designs you’ve done for Bottle Your Brand and why they are your favorites.

BYB: What are you favorite types of things to design?

My favorite things to design are invitations, cute greeting cards, and small poster prints / wall art.  I really love typography and quotes so as long as one of two are involved in a design piece, I’ll enjoy it. Some other favorites are recipe cards, calendars, gift tags, and dessert labels.

BYB: What do you like to do when you aren’t designing/working?

When I’m not designing, I’m usually checking out all the different art or music-related events around town. There are so many artists here and I really enjoy seeing other people’s artwork and supporting them.

Feeling inspired to turn on the oven?

We have a new favorite design up on the website today! This new custom Go Bananas label and invitation set may just be one of the cutest that we’ve ever had – how adorable is that little monkey, people?! Ok, so we know that Halloween only happened yesterday, but its already time to start thinking about the next big holidays and planning ahead. We’ve been seeing holiday parties and ideas all over the place already, so we’re jumping on the bandwagon and saying, better start preparing and ordering your custom wine labels for the holiday season, today! It’s a busy season, so planning ahead is always a good idea.

Our friends over at Party Box Design always throw the best parties – filled with fun, creative details, beautiful decorations and to our delight, exquisitely designed custom labels! A few weeks ago, Jessica from Party Box Design put together a spooktacular Halloween party with sweet treats, kids in costumes, face painting and even a fantastic bar for the adults. We were lucky enough to create the custom labels Jessica designed for the bottled water, beer and wine at the party – and they turned out so great. We love the color palette Jessica chose – traditional orange and black but spiced up and made a little more modern and fun-loving with the light blue accents.

Linda from Frog Prince Cake and Cookie Design recently put together a tropical themed luau for her niece’s 1st birthday, and we contributed the labels for water bottles – take a look at how it all came together – its pretty cute!

Kids wore bathing suits and played on a water slide, and there were hula hoop contests to keep everyone entertained. As for the sweet dessert table, there were creatively decorated sugar cookies, pina colada cupcakes served under a mini tiki bar, brownies, themed candy (check out the Gummi pigs – hysterical!) and a gorgeous cake that was made by Linda herself.

Thanks for letting us be a part of such a special day, Linda! We love the way it all turned out.

When we saw this customer’s label, it was like a little light-bulb went on over our heads. How did it never occur to us that an umbrella themed baby shower was an adorable idea? We think taking the idea of a “shower” literally is a creative and fun party theme idea – and not one that you see too often. Make tissue paper clouds, rain drop garlands, decorate with cute umbrellas, and shower your loved one!

What is your favorite part of this theme idea?

We are crazy about our new Milk and Cookies party theme set. It’s whimsical, fun, a little bit retro (because, let’s face it, the idea of milk and cookies as a snack is a little bit retro) and just the right amount of playful. All in all, the perfect set for a kids birthday party!

We’ve found a TON of inspiration for a sweet party like this. Let’s start with the milk. There are so many cute ways to display it and package it for your party.

We love the idea of the large glass juice containers filled with chocolate or regular milk – this would  also be a great idea for a wedding reception. Using old Starbucks Frappucino bottles, you can give them custom labels and they look like perfect little mini-milk bottles. So many options!

Next up, the most important part, if you happen to ask us – the cookies. Don’t think you have to stick with the standard chocolate chip variety – although, it is delicious. There are plenty of yummy choices – in fact, having an entire “cookie bar” with different types to choose from, is a great idea.

We just added this new custom invitation design to our site last week, and its already one of our all time favorites – its a complete set, so there are coordinating water bottle labels and custom sized favor labels as well. If your little ones are old enough, organizing a cupcake baking party could be lots of fun. Assemble different toppings and sprinkles in bowls for them to choose from, as well as different colors of frosting. You can even include silly toppers like this mustache one we stumbled across.

We recently developed a major crush on JP Creatibles, an incredible custom cookie studio located in Ashburn, Virginia, where each cookie is hand-decorated by owner and designer Jen Fisher. Every order than Jen creates is one-of-a-kind because each order is completely custom designed and made-to-order. We are so impressed with her work – the cookies we have seen are like tiny little works of art – so detailed and beautiful, we can hardly believe that they are edible!

We love the tiny ladybug cookies – how precious are they?! Jen’s cookie creations would be the perfect addition to any themed party that you may be planning for the future, or think about her cute monogrammed-style cookies for a wedding favor or treat.

Aren’t her creations amazing? We are constantly ooh-ing and ahh-ing over what she comes up with. Very impressive!

We recently created a new invitation and custom label set that would be perfect for any kid’s summer birthday party – boy or girl – The Ice Cream Social. An ice cream themed birthday party allows you to do cute decorations and the kids will love it – they can get involved scooping ice cream, tasting different flavors and even choosing toppings. Just beware of the sugar rush once its all over!

The label we made is completely customizable, so you can change the stripe colors in the background to fit whatever combination and color scheme your heart desires. The smaller custom label can be used for goody bags or party favors like those above. Fill a to-go ice cream cup with little trinkets and candy, and put the custom label on the side. Doesn’t get much cuter than that!

The Love Bird theme is huge in wedding trends right now, and there are plenty of fun ways to incorporate it into your event decor and design. We recently provided labels for a Preppy Pink Crab Party hosted by Jess over at Party Box Design for her daughter, Charli. Charli loves crabs, and Jess loves a well put-together party, and we have to say, the results were fabulous. Using shades of pink, powder blue and navy with polka dots thrown in to add to the “preppy” vibe, Jess threw a summer crab fest that was fun for both the kids and adults.

There were steamed crabs, Crabby Ale (with labels from yours truly), and kids took home crabby cupcake push pops and cookies. Adults were given a jar of crabby spice – all done up with custom labels. Jess says it was her “favorite party yet” thanks to amazing vendors and a fantastic photographer, Cellar Door Photography.

There’s the birthday girl in her pretty pink tutu! How beautiful does the bar look – we love that its housed in an old-fashioned white hutch!

We are dying over how adorable those cupcakes from Lynlee’s Petite Cakes are. Almost too cute to eat…almost.

We love the label Jess designed for the water bottles we supplied! And the idea for a Crabby Ale is pretty darn cute.

The couple that Potter designed these custom labels for, were planning a sophisticated Chicago wedding. So, to bring to life all of their favorite places around the city, Alicia created wine labels with specific Chicago landmarks on them – one for each table at the wedding. She also designed mini wine bottle labels for each guest with their name and table information on them – a great souvenir they could take home with them.

We love the cute cartoon characters she created of her clients and the simple, graphic way she portrayed each of the landmarks.

There is great detail on these labels – Alicia even managed to get the Chicago skyline into the labels for the mini wine bottles that served as seating cards for the guests. Genius!

We love the simplicity of this water bottle label that recently came through our offices. The colors are so complimentary and we are big fans of the text done all in lower case. Its such a simple label for bottled water for a wedding, but it completely captured our attention – and naturally, it got our minds going – thinking about what the wedding could look like – especially with such a rich color scheme. The gray is a perfect balance for the two shades of pink in the label – keeps your wedding from looking too girly.

Whether you make your own wine at home, or have a small winery, these labels are a great example of creating a look and brand that all flows together.

When we stumbled on this collection of wines from Swanson Vineyards, we instantly fell in love with their label design and packaging. This vineyard has been making wines for the past 25 years, and recently started producing special bottles just made for those extra special occasions in life – from bar mitzvahs and weddings to birth announcements and engagement parties. You could serve guests with these charming little bottles, or give a few as gifts.

We especially love the black label and simplicity of their design and font.

These labels are proof that it doesn’t always have to be fancy to catch your eye and make you want to get a bottle of your very own!

This is one of our favorite (and most popular) baby shower labels on the site, for its simplicity and clever “Wine before Whining” tag line. Often, people debate about whether or not to serve wine at a baby shower – given that the mother you’re honoring can’t partake in the drinking of it, but its becoming more and more common, and we are totally on board with that. Besides, how can you resist serving a wine with cute personalized labels like these? And if you choose not to serve wine at the next baby shower you host, you can still order these labels and put them on bottles of your favorite wine, as favors for the attendees that aren’t preggers.

Inspired by this label, and the color combinations – we are huge fans of light blue and chocolate color schemes – especially for little boy baby showers, we’ve created a pretty little inspiration board to get your creative juices churning for your next baby shower!

If you’re going to throw an event or a party with custom labels, you’ve got to go all out – and Hey Yo Yo can help you complete the look of your celebration with their cute finds…

They have every kind of cupcake liner imaginable – from animal prints to stripes in all the shades of the rainbow. Starting to feel like throwing a party? We are!

We’ve never seen straws like these – with stars and hearts and different colored polka dots. They make us want to drink out of a straw all day, every day.

Polka dots make cute decor for a kid’s party, and they have a varying assortment of polka dot favor bags in different colors. Put a custom label on them and you’ll have the cutest favors on the block!

This first ideas comes from the Room for Dessert blog. They simply took brightly colored soda pop in bottles and attached their own custom labels for each guest at the wedding. The bottles serve not only as a fun favor, or sweet treat to sip on, but also as the guests’ seat assignments. Cute and useful – we love it!

The next project are some adorable custom beer labels for a wedding that we saw on Green Wedding Shoes – we love the playful way they worded the names of their “personalized” beer. Its also a great and stylish idea to make a few different bottle labels that are all in the same color scheme and style – to add some variation to your bottles – plus, its more fun than making just one label. Till Death do Us Porter and Happily Ever Amber? Does it get sweeter than that?!

We’d never even thought about putting labels on a bottle of bubbles until we saw these over on Martha Stewart’s website, but isn’t this a fantastic idea for a kids’ birthday party?

Wedding Paper Divas gave us this sweet idea for favors at a wedding, shower or party. Even if you didn’t have a wedding or party coming up, this is a cool idea if you have a “world famous” cookie, brownie or jam recipe. Share with your friends and family as gifts and a personalized label to make it look all the more professional.

Feeling inspired? Which one is your favorite?

All you need is this: and empty wine bottle and a can of Chalk Board paint – which is easy to find at any local hardware or craft store. After you remove the label, all you have to do is cover the bottle in two coats of the paint and wait for it to dry.

When it’s finally dry, you can create fun results like these:

All you need is a creative idea and a piece of chalk. Wouldn’t these make great decorations on tables at your wedding? You could write the table numbers on them in chalk!

Submitted by one of Ruffled blog’s readers, this is a great project for someone with lots of left over wine bottles…like us! Check out all the details and directions, below:

What You’ll Need:

- wine bottles
- liquid soap
- alcohol swabs, rubbing alcohol, Goo Gone and/or hard dish brush
-spray paint
- quick drying high gloss white spray paint or white primer spray paint
- quick drying high gloss spray in whatever colors you desire
- old sheet, drop cloth or any sort of covering for the surface you will be painting on

Instructions:

Step 1: Submerge wine bottles in warm soapy water until labels easily come off (this can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes).

Step 2: If you are having difficulty removing labels, try holding the bottles under warm water and use a hard dish brush to scrub off excess label/glue. I also find using alcohol or Goo Gone can help with this as well.

Step 3: Make sure soapy water is rinsed out of bottles and let bottles dry.

Step 4: Cover hard surface outside (away from anything you might damage with spray paint) and place bottles on the surface. Spray one thin, even coat of white spray paint or primer on each bottle (note, this does not have to be perfect). Make sure you are not holding the can too close to the bottle or the paint will get on too thick and start to drip. Let dry for about 15 minutes, then you can test the bottles by touching them lightly; if the paint is sticky they need more time to dry.

Step 5: Repeat this step about three more times with the colors you choose. If you are having trouble getting the paint on evenly, put your finger into the bottle opening to pick it up so you can see the bottle at a better angle and spray where needed. Because you are doing several coats, it will not be completely even until your final coat. If you need to do more than three or four coats, that is fine, just make sure they are not too thick.

Step 6: Pick up bottle and spray around the bottom edge so no glass is showing through. Then do a quick spray at the very top of the bottle. Leave bottles out to dry in a shaded place.

These would make a fabulous personalized gift or party favor for your Easter celebration this year, and they’re so adorable, we’re pretty sure you’re guests would love them – and the thought and work you put into making them. Check out the recipe below, find a cute jar to hold all the ingredients, and then all you have to do is get some custom labels (we know a little bit about that, just sayin’) – change the name, add your name, whatever you can think of to make it personal and custom. Happy Easter!

BUNNY BROWNIES:

Ingredients and Directions:
1. Reduce 1 sleeve graham crackers to crumbs.
2. Layer 2/3 of the crumbs in a 1 qt jar.
3. Place 8 marshmallow bunny peeps standing up, facing out around the inside of the jar.
4. Press them up against the glass, but don’t squash them.
5. Carefully spoon remaining crumbs in the center of the jar to support the bunnies, pressing down to keep it snug.
6. On top of this pour 1-1/4 cup Easter M&M’s.
7. Spoon 1/3 cup brown sugar into center of M&M’s, gently pressing with a spoon.

This 2005 Boarding Pass Shiraz from Southern Australian winery, R Wines, has one of the most clever label designs we have ever laid eyes on. The front label is basically designed to look like an airplane boarding pass with information about the wine replacing the travel details and information. Plus, we love the cute and humorous illustration about drinking wine while flying. Brilliant design and packaging!

On this dreary and gray day here in Seattle, we’re feeling the need for something bright, colorful, fun and reminiscent of the spring and summer months that are hopefully on their way soon! Isn’t Rowhouse Brewing a great name for a brewery? We love it!

We were so enamored with these labels that we had to share them with you. And then, just today we came across this awesome set of four kitchen towels – made just for the beer lover in your life – by Etsy seller NestaHome. Hand-stamped with antique printing blocks, these towels just seemed like they fit well with the Rowhouse labels.

If we had a little brewery, we would be all about these towels – heck, even without a little brewery, we’re all about them!

This has to be one of the most creative and unique wine labels we have run across yet. Logan Wines, a boutique winery located in Australia, is known for their beautifully crafted wines, and their labels are no exception. To stay in line with their handcrafted image as a winery, they hired War Designs to redesign and create a label for them, and this is what they came up with – totally one of a kind!

They may appear, from this distance, to be regular labels, but take a closer look and you’ll see they’re actually embroidered!

How pretty and unique are these labels? We love how the brand name is looped into the branches.

Simply lovely!

Look what we found! We’ve come across a lot of really great ideas for what to do with old wine bottles recently, and lucky you, we just can’t help but share them with you! The latest is from Erik Anderson, from Indianapolis design firm Gerardot & Co. You’re going to want to try these Tiki-esque torches before summer gets here!

1. Empty Wine Bottle (You can use any bottle you like as long as it’s glass and the neck is 1” in diameter. Be clever!)
2. Teflon Tape 1/2”
3. Copper Top Plate Connector (threaded for 3/8”-16 thread rod)
4. 1” Split Ring Hanger (threaded for 3/8”-16 thread rod)
5. 1/2” x 3/8” Copper Coupling
6. 1/2” Copper Cap
7. Two Hex Nuts (threaded for 3/8”-16 thread rod)
8. Two #10 x 1” Zinc Plated Wood Screws (if you’re mounting it to wood)
9. 3/8”-16 Zinc Plated Threaded Rod (I bought a 3’ rod and cut it down to 8, 4-1/2” rods with a hacksaw.)
10. Tiki Replacement Wick
11. Torch Fuel (For safety reasons, only use fuel made specifically for outdoor torches. i.e. Tiki brand)

Helpful Tools: Channellocks, adjustable wrench, hacksaw, power screwdriver, and a funnel. For those having trouble locating the top plate connectors they can be found online: Copper, Galvanized, Stainless Steel, Iron

Safety Note: This is for outdoor use only. Tiki brand recommends that the wick never be set higher than 1/4-inch, and I recommend that you exercise the same discretion and common sense that you would with any small open flame. Never leave your torches unattended.

Building Instructions:

The Hanger:

1. Decide where you want to mount your Recycled Bottle Torch. Position the Top Plate Connector on your mounting surface and mark the holes for where the screws will go. It’s easier to keep it level if you pre-drill your screws first.
2. Once you have your Top Plate Connector mounted you can screw in the 3/8”-16 Rod until it stops. Channellocks are helpful for this part.
3. Thread the two Hex Nuts on to the Rod and tighten one all the way down at the point where the Rod meets the Top Connector Plate. Leave the other Hex Nut at the front end so it can be used to secure the Split Ring Hanger.
4. Thread on the Split Ring Hanger just enough so that the Rod is flush with the inside of the ring. Turn the 2nd Hex Nut counter-clockwise to snug it up against the Split Ring Hanger.

If you’d prefer your hardware to keep its shiny, unweathered look you can always give it several coats of clear polyurethane before you mount it. Personally, I think a weathered patina will add a nice element of character.

The Bottle

1. Carefully and tightly wrap the 1/2-inch end of the Coupling with your Teflon Tape. You want to keep each wrap nice and clean so that it creates a smooth, even surface. Continue building up the tape until it fits very snugly in the opening of your bottle. You obviously do not want it to fall in.
2. Insert the Wick in the Coupling until it sticks out about 1/4-inch or less. The Tiki brand replacement wicks are about 3/8-inch in diameter so they fit really well.
3. Unscrew the Split Ring Hanger on one side and position the bottle neck in the ring.
4. Flip the front half of the ring back into place and tighten down the Hanger evenly on both sides. You may need to loosen the other side to make sure both sides are an even tightness. Do not over tighten the Hanger.
5. Use a funnel to fill the bottle with your favorite torch oil. I use Tiki BiteFighter because it’s clear and seems to do a good job of keeping the mosquitoes away.
6. Insert the Coupling & Wick in the top of the bottle and twist it snugly into place. Give the Wick a few minutes to absorb the oil before you try to light it.
7. I typically just blow my torches out. Use the Copper Cap to keep the Wick dry when you’re not using your torch.

How awesomely brilliant are these Lip to Lip Wine Sip Candlesticks? Here, artist Gavid Guilfoose has handcrafted candlesticks from two separate cut and polished wine bottles that he’s connected together at the lips. Wouldn’t these look great on your tabletop at your next dinner party?

These recycled wine bottle vases have to be our absolute favorite. The Pod Vase and the Cut Vase are hand finished from recycled wine bottles and look so natural and organic. They would also make great centerpieces for bouquets of flowers at a wedding!

In other words, be frank, tell it like it is, and then pour your conversation partner a nice tall glass of wine.

Quite the clever idea, if you ask us.

Here, we picked one of our popular wedding labels, “Ribbons and Dots”, and matched it with some pink party accessories from Sweet Lulu. With one of our labels, and some treats from Sweet Lulu, this would be one perfectly coordinated and visually stunning party!

The purple bakers twine and purple polka dot straws would look great at a party with our “Camelot Dots” label. Fill those cake platters with some pretty purple-frosted cupcakes and you’d have everything you need to host a party people will definitely be ‘ooh’ing and ‘ahh’ing over.

These labels would be a great option for a gift, wedding shower or even a wedding itself!

We’re back with another Label Love post, and this one is truly amazing! In fact, these may be the fanciest labels we’ve ever seen on a bottle of wine.

Armand de Brignac champagne is one of the most highly regarded champagne’s in the world, and even their label lives up to their reputation. The stunning gold-plated bottles are fitted with pewter labels that are each hand-applied in France. No paper labels here! After each pewter label is affixed to the bottle, they are wrapped up in luxe velvet bags that are embroidered with the bottle’s signature insignia. Gorgeous!

The second wedding wine idea today comes from the incomparable Martha Stewart. Make your wedding wine do double-duty as a part of the wedding decor. We’ve seen a lot of great ideas out there recently, take a look and start getting inspired about how you want your next label to look!

Retro fruit labels, with their bright colors and clear, bold designs make great labels for beer bottles.

Put a more delicate, antique-inspired label like one of these art nouveau styled ideas, on a wine bottle label, or favor boxes and bags at a bridal or baby shower. While browsing one of our favorite design sites, The Dieline, we came across this brand of pasta sauce by Via Roma, and fell head over heels in love. Pasta sauces are a dime a dozen, but with these creative labels, this company is sure to stand out on the shelves. We love the black and white color scheme and the incorporation of real photographs of Italian grandmothers and grandfathers on each label – there is so much emotion and feeling in each image. Its almost like you are eating your own Italian grandmother’s pasta sauce. Love it!

We have been working like crazy little elves in Santa’s workshop over the past few weeks here at Bottle Your Brand. Each season, Pantone brings the world the latest and most important color trends – used in design, fashion and more. This year’s color palette is inspired by exotic destinations like Africa, India, Peru and Turkey, using both warm and cool tones to balance one another in complimentary hues.

Coral Rose is a sophisticated orange with a bright, spicy feel to it, and Beeswax is a warm honeyed yellow – both of which look great paired with Regatta.

The romantic, fanciful color of Lavender goes great with Beeswax and Coral Rose, making a unique color pairing that is perfectly balanced. The alluring color of Blue Curacao is a goregous tropical hue that complements both Honeysuckle and Coral Rose. One of the great things about using personalized and custom labels is the ability to really get creative and come up with unique ideas not everyone would think of. This can be especially helpful when planning a wedding and making it all your own. We recently came across this brilliant idea for a wedding guest book, and we are truly smitten.

There are times, however, when it really doesn’t make sense to do things yourself.  Certain tasks can turn Do It Yourself projects into Definitely Irritate Yourself projects.

For example, if you don’t know how to sew it’s probably a disastrous idea to try to sew your own wedding dress.  Likewise, if you’re a kitchen disaster waiting to happen, baking an elaborate cake is probably a recipe for failure.

DIY water bottle labels is another one of those projects that you can find endless tutorials and customizable templates for online.  Tips for doing so range from buying waterproof paper to print on to printing the labels on your home printer and then adhering them to the bottles using packing tape.

What they fail to mention, however, is the sacrifice of quality you get when you try to print your own water bottle labels.  There’s just no way that anyone’s home printer can compare to the printing capabilities of a commercial grade digital printer.

Additionally, printing your own labels and then adhering them with packing tape is a huge pain.  Packing tape sticks to everything (including itself!) and getting it on straight so that it looks nice up-close is a very ambitious goal indeed.

DIY is lovely, when you can truly express yourself and take joy in creating something one-of-a-kind.  Save yourself the heartbreak and hassle of printing your own labels, though, and let us handle that for you.  You can still design a completely custom label, and stick the labels on yourself.

We’ll just take care of the printing, so you get all the creativity and none of the hassle!

Wedding Wine Label - Pop of Color

Using multiple designs in your wedding reception decor is a great idea!  Not only does it eliminate the need to pick just one awesome design, it gives your guests a variety of labels to look at.

The picture above features the custom wine labels of a couple whose brother and sister-in-law went with two different designs for the wine they’d made for their wedding.  The designs were in complimentary colors (black and white), but each label celebrates something different.  The bold monogram of one (the design is called “Script Monogram“, if you’re curious) proclaims the couple’s new last initial, and the photo on the other (“Scroll Frame“) shows off one of their cute engagement pictures.

To make this look work for you, find as many designs that you like and then share different information on each.  Here are some ideas for bits of info to share on custom wedding labels:

• Your engagement story.  This makes a great label for the back of the wine bottle, and will give guests something fun to read while they’re at the table.
• Trivia about the couple.  Put a different fact on each label design, and choose five or six different designs.  Guests will have fun tracking down all the different facts.
• Engagement pictures.  If you have more than one favorite engagement picture, share them on your custom labels.

No one ever said you couldn’t pick more than one design.  Spice things up with multiple designs!  Your decor will be varied and fun to look at as a result, and you’ll have a blast designing all the different designs!

This article, which appeared on MSN a few days ago, has a few tips for encouraging reluctant kids to drink plain agua.  If your kids are hooked on soda or juices and find plain water boring, the article suggests serving plain water between meals with slices of fruit in it.

This is excellent advice!  You could also send your child to school with a bottle of water as well, or perhaps a re-fillable canteen he or she can re-fill at the drinking fountain.

We also recommend providing bottles of water to kids at birthday parties, sporting events, and play-dates.  Any time you have a bunch of kids playing and exercising, it’s crucial to make sure they have all the water they need to stay hydrated.  Water is the healthiest beverage you can offer, make sure your kids get lots of it!

Of course, if your kid shuns water because it’s too boring, maybe it could help to customize the water you offer with some custom labels.  Sometimes having their own special water can glamorize it enough to help them get the taste for the stuff.

Outdoor summer weddings are gorgeous, but they do come with their own special challenges.  Power, restrooms, weather, that sort of thing.  Bugs are one of those outdoor summer wedding problems that very few people tell you about however, and if your wedding is near a body of water or the woods, you’ll find that tiny bugs can be a huge problem!

Handing out bottles of bug spray will take care of this problem nicely.  You can find small travel-sized bottles of bug spray (some even with sunscreen built in!) and provide each wedding guest with his/her own shield against pesky bugs.

The event was a rousing success, with almost 25 teams competing in a two mile swim or a half mile swim alongside Olympic swimmers.  At the conclusion of each event, every swimmer was handed a Swim Across America towel as well as a bottle of water.  Guess who provided the water?

Tristen’s boss had a birthday coming up, and they were still in need of a logo for their brand-new business (GorillaJedi) so Tristen thought she’d hit two birds with one stone.  She designed custom beer labels with a snazzy logo on them, and created a party box for her boss’ birthday with the surprise logo inside.

[singlepic id=306 w=240 h=240 float=center]She labeled two cases  of beer with the custom beer labels, then used chalkboard spray paint to turn the beer carriers into a canvas!  She used chalk and pictures to make the carriers completely thoughtful and custom.

[singlepic id=309 w=240 h=240 float=center]Then, knowing that no party is complete without a hangover cure, she labeled some bottles of water as well with a GorillaJedi hangover cure label.  Then, she placed the custom beer and water on a box and gave it to her boss.

The great thing about using custom labels for college fairs (or any kind of fair, really) is that even if you don’t have time to get your message across while someone is standing right there, when they take a bottle from you, they take your message with them!  If they happen to set their bottle down somewhere and someone else sees it, even better!

The thing we liked about John’s idea was that he applied the labels to bottle of Gatorade.  We’ve never seen that before!  This just proves what we’re always saying about our customers: You guys are way more creative than we are!
