Make Your Label and Check It Twice!

You’ve found the perfect label.  Your heart speeds up a bit, your fingers fly over the keyboard, and before you know it you’ve designed a custom label that is everything you want it to be and more.  Woo hoo!  Just hit Checkout and go, right?

Hold on there a minute.  Did you remember to proofread your label?

Much like Santa Claus with his list, it’s important to check your label over at least twice to make sure that names are spelled correctly, the dates are right, etc.  Why?  Because we won’t!

As much as we’d love to be psychic, we have no way of knowing whether the names, places, dates, or other information we see on your label are correct.  If you type it in wrong, we will print it wrong!  We’d hate for that to happen, so make sure you double-check your work before checking out.

If you ever have questions about etiquette (whose initial comes first in a monogram anyway?!) or aesthetics (what looks better, writing out the date or using numbers?) contact us.  We’re happy to work with you to make sure your label looks perfect!  Just remember, we won’t proofread it for you once you’ve submitted your order.  Make sure it’s right before you check out!

Is There Anything We Won’t Print?

We’ve seen it all.  We’ve printed beer labels with naked women, water labels with naked men, and countless labels proudly featuring every swear word ever uttered.  As a result, we’re not squeamish about what we print and promise not to judge you for what you choose to have us print for you.

Due to the completely customizable nature of our products, it’s natural to be curious about what our stipulations are about what we will or won’t print.  As a rule, we don’t censor the content of the custom labels we print.  If you feel like covering your label in profanity?  We might not repeat the words you use, but we’ll certainly print those for you and won’t think differently of you for choosing to do so.

The only things we won’t print are the things that violate local, state, and federal laws.  We love our customers, but we’re not wild about the idea of going to jail for them.

All orders that we receive are subject to our discretion, but as long as it’s legal we’ll print it for you.  It’s not our job to judge you for what you choose to order.  What is our job is to print top quality labels that say what you want them to say.

If you ever have any questions about label content, just give us a call.  We’ll be happy to listen to your idea and let you know if it’s something we won’t print.

As you may have noticed, things are a little different around here!  We understand that this may lead to some confusion for our returning customers, so we’ve created a number of resources to help you find your way around the site.

If you have questions about our pricing, we’ve created a page with all our price breaks which can be found here.  The pricing information for all our products is listed there, so you can compare quantities and prices easily.

For instructions on how to use our site, and specifically our Design Online tool, you might find it helpful to take a visit to our Design Online Tutorial.  There, you will find step-by-step instructions for how to do things like:

Stress-Free Shipping for Bottled Water

One of the biggest challenges that comes with using custom label bottled water is its weight: water is very heavy!  Heavy things cost more to ship, so this can raise challenges for anyone planning an event at a specific location at a set time.

Many people are intimidated by the prospect of paying to ship water to their home or office, and then paying to have them re-located to their venue at the right time.  This trepidation makes sense, because moving water can be a pain, especially if you already have other things to take care of that day.

An easy to way to work around this issue is to have us ship directly to your venue.  We use the most reliable shipping services in the world, FedEx and UPS, who guarantee that your shipments will arrive on time.  If you have an event at a hotel, or a convention center, we’re happy to ship your custom label bottled water directly to the venue.

We can even ship your water internationally.   If you’re planning a destination wedding or foreign conference, we’re happy to ship your purified spring water directly to your hotel or resort.

Just let us know when you place your order that it needs to be delivered on a specific date and we’ll work with FedEx and UPS to make sure it arrives on time!  It’s always important to check with your venue to find out how far in advance of an event they’ll hold your shipments, though, in order to avoid any last-minute problems.

Water Bottles: Friend or Foe?

There’s been a lot of buzz in the media recently about water bottles. There’s a growing concern that bottled water is taking too heavy a toll on the planet and is an unnecessary indulgence.

Some of this buzz is justified. After all, an astonishing nine out of every ten water bottles ends up as litter or in landfills, where they can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. As appalling as this fact is, water bottles still accounted for less than 1/3 of 1% of all waste produced in 2005.

In fact, water bottles are 100% recyclable. The plastic in water bottles can be re-used to create other plastic products and can even be used to make polar fleece jackets! An estimated 1.5 million tons of plastic are used globally every year to create water bottles, but every ounce of this plastic is recyclable and re-usable.

The problem is not the water bottles, it’s the lack of readily available recyling containers in public places and in homes nation-wide. Only half the homes in America have access to curb-side recycling programs, and there’s a dismal lack of recycling centers publicly available.

Patricia Franklin, who works with a non-profit called the Container Recycling Institute, says that the “opportunites for recycling outside the home are minimal, and therein lies the problem.”

We here at Bottle Your Brand are doing everything we can to lessen the impact of our water bottles on the environment. Our bottles are made from PET 1 plastic, which is the safest and most easily recyclable, and we are always seeking out the newest developments in labeling technology that will have a diminished impact on the planet.

What is Spring Water?

We often get asked what’s so special about our water. After all, anyone who’s ever gone to a grocery store is well aware of the many varieties of bottled water that are available. There’s spring water, purified water, mineral water, well water, and even tap water. All of these varieties offer something different, but the one we prefer most is the one we carry: spring water.

Spring water is a specific type of water. Specifically, it’s defined as

Bottled water derived from an underground formation from which water flows naturally to the surface of the earth.

In order for water to qualify as spring water, it can only be collected at the spring, either where it bubbles out from the ground or through a borehole that taps the underground source of the spring.

Our water is from a private spring in the foothills of Oregon’s Coast Range. Both the spring and our bottling facility are routinely inspected by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. The bottling facility tests for anything that might contaminate the water (chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, bromides, heavy metals, etc.) and the results are consistently negative. They also ozonate all water in order to ensure that water is clean before it’s bottled (Ozone is a natural water sanitizer.)

In addition to the tests conducted by the ODA, our bottler also tests its water daily to ensure that their water meets or excels all EPA requirements. The water is bottled at the source and then shipped to our facility in Washington state.

Our water is delicious and clean tasting and contains natural minerals, which is why we think it’s so special. We are happy to ship samples, so if you’re curious about the quality of our water all you have to do is ask!

Congratulations, you ve found your way to our blog! We started this blog to help you, our customers, find answers to some of the most common questions and learn more about the products we offer.

We d like to start by introducing ourselves. We are an e-commerce site dedicated to providing the highest quality personalized bottled water and labels.

Our company was founded in 2003 and the first version of our website was launched in February 2004. We started from very humble beginnings. In fact, for the first year of its existence, Bottle Your Brand was run out of a basement!

It was not the most glamorous start, but the potential in this market was great enough that the founders were willing to rough it for awhile to make it work. At the time, there were no other e-commerce sites offering personalized water bottle labeling services. There were companies who did personalized labels, but none had yet used the Internet to make the ordering process simple and quick.

Through a lot of trial and error, hard work, and the latest technology, Bottle Your Brand grew and is now one of the foremost suppliers of personalized bottled water and labels. The team here has grown from three to nine employees and we have a lot of fun doing what we do. We re committed to helping you produce the best labels possible and enjoy watching your vision come to life.
