Custom Wedding Labels Trend

We see a lot of wedding labels come through our offices everyday – wine, water and beer labels. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more wedding labels than anything else. Recently, a lot of couples seem to be using their professional engagement pictures to make their labels and we’ve gotta say – it looks great! Using the images from a professional photo shoot lend your label a professional, put-together look and add that extra little touch of elegance and class to your wedding day style.

Adding “Love Nutrition Facts” to your water label is a cute and sweet way to give your label a little something “extra”.

Inspirational Ideas: Wine Tasting Labels

When it comes to projects and fun ideas that involve custom labels, the options are nearly endless. And yet, we are still continually amazed when we stumble across new ideas that we haven’t thought of or seen before. This  is one of our favorites – and it comes to you straight from the incomparable Martha Stewart – naturally. Check it out!

custom wine tasting labels

If you are trying to settle on wine to serve at your wedding, why not make a night out of it and have some fun? Host a wine tasting party, add some custom labels to the mix, and voila! A great pre-wedding day activity!

Invite some friends and family over for a wine tasting before the wedding, and provide them with the selection of wines that you are trying to choose from. Then, cover or replace the wine labels with custom ones, showing only a number to identify which wine is which, and have guests leave their comments and choices on each wine on the rest of the label. Hopefully their comments and votes will make choosing the wine for your wedding a little easier and a lot more fun.

Recent Customer Projects

We love it when customers send us pictures of our labels in action. After creating them and shipping them off to their new owners, its always fun to see how our customers use the labels. We recently had a couple submissions come in that we just couldn’t pass up sharing with you. Check them out…maybe you’ll find some inspiration for your next label project!

Custom Beer Label from Bottle Your Brand

One of our customers, Andee, recently ordered a home brewery kit for her husband as a Christmas gift, and bought these labels for his first batch of beer. Her husband loved the labels so much that he just ordered more labels today – for the packages of meat that he smokes. Those are labeled “Big Sexy BBQ”. Great ideas and labels you guys – can’t wait to see what else you come up with in the future!

This is one of the sweetest stories we have ever had the pleasure of hearing here at Bottle Your Brand, and we feel so honored to have been able to have been a part of it in some small way. Michael ordered this label to propose to his girlfriend on New Years Eve this year. Says Michael, “in the blistering cold of Omaha, NE, I got down on one knee. I had affixed the label to our favorite bottle of champagne. I had mixed this bottle in among other bottles and I asked Laura to carry one, and handed her the special bottle. I watched her face as she read it, and I got down on one knee. She was speechless as I slipped the ring on her finger. May the wedding planning begin.” Congrats you two! We can’t wait to see what you come up with for the wedding.

If you have any cool stories, projects or parties involving labels you got from us, please send us pictures! We love to see what you have been up to!

Custom Wedding Wine Label Ideas

It seems like engagements spike during the holiday season, which means now is the time for brides to start jumping into the planning of their big day. There are a ton of new brides out there at the beginning of each new year, so we figure its time to lend our expertise and inspire you! Today, we bring you two quick and brilliant ideas for customizing wine labels to use in your wedding celebration.

custom wedding wine label ideaWhile browsing one of our favorite wedding blogs, The Wedding Chicks, we found this little piece of eye-candy. The bride and groom from this real wedding had a wine made specially for their big day, with a customized label complete with the names of every one of the guests at their celebration. We love how the guest’s names make up the background of the label, and the personalized silhouettes of the bride and groom. Plus, its done in a great vintage style! This is a wonderful way to make your wedding one of a kind and also provide everyone with an incredibly special memento of the big day.

customized wedding wine labels as table numbers at your weddingThe second wedding wine idea today comes from the incomparable Martha Stewart. Make your wedding wine do double-duty as a part of the wedding decor. Have wine bottles labeled with stylish numbers to let guests know what their table number is. Place a few at each table as centerpieces and table markers, and let the guests serve themselves from your favorite blend.

Feeling inspired? We have plenty more where that came from…Happy Tuesday!

Pantone Spring 2011 Colors

pantone spring 2011 color palette trendsPantone, the global authority on color has released their color trends palette for Spring 2011, and we are swooning over all of the gorgeous, bright colors!

Each season, Pantone brings the world the latest and most important color trends – used in design, fashion and more. This year’s color palette is inspired by exotic destinations like Africa, India, Peru and Turkey, using both warm and cool tones to balance one another in complimentary hues.

Coral Rose is a sophisticated orange with a bright, spicy feel to it, and Beeswax is a warm honeyed yellow – both of which look great paired with Regatta.

The romantic, fanciful color of Lavender goes great with Beeswax and Coral Rose, making a unique color pairing that is perfectly balanced. The alluring color of Blue Curacao is a goregous tropical hue that complements both Honeysuckle and Coral Rose. Peapod is our personal favorite for its fresh yellow-green color and the organic element it brings to the table.

The “nude hues” – Silver Peony, Silver Cloud and Deep Russett, go with just about everything in the palette, grounding the bright colors and providing an ethereal feel.

Finally, let’s not forget Honeysuckle – the official color of Spring 2011. Bright and flirtatious, this feel-good hue is playful and perfect for post-winter designs!

pantone honeysuckle spring 2011 colorWe can’t wait to start using these colors in our spring designs – stay tuned and start thinking about which colors you might want to use for your wedding, party or event design. Then, let us know and we’ll make you the ideal label in whichever shade you prefer!

Personalized Family Crest Labels

family crest wine label, front and back labelsOne of our recent customers sent in this design for a bottle of wine, and we simply adore it! Made for a bottle of wine, the front label displays a crest with the family name, and the back label gives us some insight into the meaning of the Serio name and where it comes from. This is a brilliant idea for any of you home winemakers out there – what a fabulous way to personalize your own blends. Using your family crest on a wine or beer label is also a great idea for family events like reunions and birthday parties.

If you don’t know what your family crest is, let us design it for you with these new labels we just added to our repertoire. Insert your name here and start personalizing those wine and beer bottles!

Thanks for the great idea Steve! Cheers!

A Unique Wedding Guest Book

One of the great things about using personalized and custom labels is the ability to really get creative and come up with unique ideas not everyone would think of. This can be especially helpful when planning a wedding and making it all your own. We recently came across this brilliant idea for a wedding guest book, and we are truly smitten.

Instead of the traditional guest book, why not use wine bottles with custom labels? Simply choose four bottles of your favorite wine (one that will age well) and have custom labels created – one for your 1st, 5th, 10th and 20th anniversary. Personalize the labels with your names, wedding colors, and anniversary dates in the future, and then provide guests with a paint pen in silver or gold, and have them sign the bottles! You can even add graphics or a picture of the two of you.

It’s a sweet way to keep track of everyone who attended your big day and reminisce years down the road, when you uncork the special, personalized bottles on each milestone anniversary.
